I know, I know. The first thing you thought was: but my house isn’t clean enough.
It doesn’t need to be. Honestly — it’s completely up to you how we use your space.
If there are spaces in your home that feel special to you — a beautifully decorated room, a favorite corner, somewhere that just feels like yours — those are exactly the kinds of places I want to photograph you in. Think about what you want to remember. If nothing comes to mind, no worries. A backdrop or a simple clean wall works just as beautifully.

Your Home Is Already the Perfect Backdrop
You don’t need a Pinterest-perfect house for this. You need a couch you all pile onto together and the willingness to let me follow you around for an hour or two while you just… exist. I bring everything else, including lighting — so whatever your space looks like, we can work with it.
I’ve photographed families in tiny apartments and sprawling farmhouses, in newborn-haze chaos and quiet Sunday morning calm. What makes every one of those sessions work isn’t the square footage or the décor — it’s the fact that people are comfortable. They’re on their own turf. Kids act like themselves. Partners lean into each other naturally. Pets inevitably steal the show — and I love every second of it. Getting the pets in the session is one of the biggest perks of shooting in your own home.
The ease you feel in your own space? It shows up in every single frame.

What an In-Home Session Actually Looks Like
Before your session, we’ll talk about the style of images you’re looking for and I’ll walk you through my process so you know exactly what to expect. I’ll also ask if you need any help with styling — and if you do, you’ll have access to my client closet, a collection of clothing pieces I’ve curated that are available to wear during your session. It’s one less thing to stress about, and it means your family can show up and just be together.
One of the things I love most about in-home sessions is that they naturally lend themselves to both indoor and outdoor images in a single session. We’ll typically start inside with some posed portraits, then move outside — into the backyard, onto the front porch, or a short walk to a neighborhood green space — for a looser, more candid feel. It’s two completely different looks without ever getting in a car.
Don’t underestimate the front porch. There’s something deeply nostalgic about being photographed in front of the home you actually live in.

Your Images, Ready the Next Day
Your proof gallery will be ready to view and order from the day after your session. Browse, fall in love, and place your order — it’s that simple. If you don’t absolutely love your images, we start over.
If you’re in North Georgia and you’ve been putting off family photos because you don’t know where to start — start here. An in-home session is one of the most personal, low-pressure ways to get portraits that actually look like you.
Reach out and let’s find a date. I’d love to come to you.
